" We are looking to add an entry level Project/ Quality/ Safety Engineer to our team!
Job Duties:
Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of commercial roofing projects. Coordinate and manage project documentation including: Submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), Change orders, Material procurement, Closeout packages, Warranty documentation, and Daily reports. Create and assemble detailed foreman packets and field installation documentation for superintendents and field crews. Utilize Bluebeam and related construction software to prepare job layouts, markups, field details, takeoffs, and project documentation.
Support communication and coordination between:
Field personnel, Subcontractors, Vendors, Manufacturers, Consultants, General contractors, and Clients. Conduct regular site visits to verify work progress, manpower allocation, safety compliance, and installation quality. Assist with project turnover, punch list completion, final inspections, and project closeout activities. Coordinate manufacturer inspections and ensure compliance with warranty requirements. Support leak investigations, service documentation, and corrective action tracking. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA compliance across all jobsites. Conduct routine safety inspections, jobsite audits, toolbox talks, and safety meetings. Develop, maintain, and manage safety documentation including: JHAs (Job Hazard Analyses), Incident and accident reports, Equipment inspections, Fall protection plans, Safety meeting records, and Site-specific safety plans. Train field personnel on roofing safety procedures, hazard recognition, and proper PPE usage. Investigate accidents, near misses, property damage incidents, and safety violations. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable local, state, and federal safety standards. Perform pre-installation, in-progress, and final inspections of commercial roofing systems.
Ensure roofing installations comply with:
Manufacturer specifications, Contract documents, Approved submittals, Building codes, and Company quality standards. Maintain QA/QC checklists, inspection reports, and photographic documentation. Identify installation deficiencies, non-conforming work, and warranty concerns and oversee corrective actions. Coordinate with manufacturers, consultants, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues. Ensure all roofing systems are installed in accordance with manufacturer warranty requirements. Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, deficiencies, repairs, and completed corrective actions. Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to build professional relationships with clients, crews, subcontractors, and vendors. Willingness to travel to jobsites as required. Ability to work in outdoor environments and access active construction sites safely. Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops safely. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Comfortable working at heights and around active construction operations. Certifications & Training OSHA 10 Certification (Required for QA/QC) OSHA 30 Certification (Required) Fall Protection Competent Person Certification preferred First Aid / CPR Certification preferred Manufacturer certifications or training preferred
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
