3007327568-2 Apply for this job now Job Description HCA Healthcare is seeking a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Coordinator to provide leadership and advanced nursing care in our critical care unit. You will coordinate patient care, support evidence-based practice, mentor staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, promoting patient safety, assisting with staff education, and supporting quality improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates have strong critical care experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee delivery of nursing care for critically ill and high-acuity patients on assigned shifts. Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff, providing guidance on complex patient care and critical decision-making. Assist with comprehensive patient assessments, develop and update individualized plans of care, and ensure timely implementation of interventions. Support and perform advanced critical care procedures, including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and titration of high-risk IV medications. Promote adherence to hospital policies, evidence-based protocols, and regulatory standards related to critical care and patient safety. Facilitate effective interdisciplinary communication among physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, pharmacists, and support staff. Participate in quality improvement projects, data review, and implementation of practice changes to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. Mentor, coach, and support orientation and ongoing development of nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel. Assist with staffing coordination, patient assignment, and throughput activities including admissions, transfers, and discharges. Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, procedures, and post-discharge care plans, ensuring understanding and shared decision-making. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record to support continuity of care, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance.
