Senior Environmental Health and Safety Manager - Manufacturing A.O. Smith seeks a Sr. EHS Manager, North America to lead environmental, health, and safety strategy across its manufacturing operations. This role develops and implements EHS programs, policies, and metrics to ensure regulatory compliance, minimize risk, and drive a proactive safety culture. The manager partners with plant leadership to standardize processes, lead audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions. Responsibilities include overseeing training, permitting, and reporting, supporting continuous improvement, and guiding capital projects and product initiatives to meet global EHS standards while enabling operational excellence and business performance. Lead North America EHS strategy and programs across manufacturing sites Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company standards Develop and implement safety, environmental, and health policies and procedures Conduct and oversee EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Manage EHS training programs and competency development for plant teams Oversee environmental permitting, reporting, and waste management Track and report EHS performance metrics, trends, and improvement plans Partner with operations and engineering on capital projects and process changes to reduce risk Promote a proactive, performance-driven safety culture aligned with corporate values Environmental, health, and safety program management OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory compliance EHS auditing and inspections Incident investigation and root cause analysis Risk assessment and hazard identification EHS training design and delivery Environmental permitting and reporting Data analysis and EHS metrics management Continuous improvement/lean methodologies Stakeholder and cross-functional leadership Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) a plus Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) a plus OSHA 30-hour or equivalent advanced safety training Experience with ISO 14001 and
