RESPONSIBILITIES

(including authority).  Develop and implement HSE policies, programs, and procedures that adhere to AISC and

SSPC QP3

standards.  Conduct regular HSE audits to identify hazards, non-compliance, and areas for improvement.  Coordinate and participate in incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and documented.  Acts as ranking company representative in dealing with government agencies on safety and health matters affecting the company.  Provide HSE training to employees and contractors, ensuring they know and understand company policies and procedures.  Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records, including training records, incident reports, and hazard assessments.  Conduct risk assessments and develop safe work procedures to mitigate identified risks.  Manage the HSE permit process, ensuring that all permits are obtained and maintained in a timely manner.  Lead or participate in HSE weekly meetings and communicate HSE performance to management and employees.  Monitor changes to HSE legislation and standards and ensure that company policies and procedures are updated accordingly.  Coordinate emergency response and crisis management plans and ensure that all employees and contractors are trained and aware of their roles and responsibilities.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS

Regardless of other duties, has a responsibility to follow CPS Houston's production, safety, and quality procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

a) Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field is preferred. b) Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE coordination, preferably in the steel or construction industry.

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
