The ideal candidate will serve as SSHO on USACE Heavy Civil projects. Duties Prepare and manage Activity Hazards Analysis Participate in field operations audits to ensure safety of working crews Prepare and conduct weekly safety meetings. Manage incident investigations by documenting accidents or near-misses, analyzing root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance documentation using construction management software (RMS for USACE projects) Qualifications 5 years or more of heavy civil SSHO experience. EM-385 or OSHA 30 Cert 8 hours per year of continuing education documented, for the last 3 years.
