In this vital role, you will champion a culture of safety, ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, and implement programs that promote employee well-being and operational excellence. This role requires a boots-on-the-ground leader who will spend significant time on the production floor. Your expertise will help prevent accidents, minimize risks, and foster a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace environment where manufacturing processes thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on safety standards across our production operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, approachable, and experienced in managing safety in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Duties Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other regulatory standards to ensure legal compliance in manufacturing settings. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, root cause analyses, and incident investigations to identify risks and implement corrective actions promptly. Lead safety training sessions focused on hazard recognition, emergency response procedures, first aid, CPR, OSHA regulations, hazardous materials handling, and environmental health practices. Maintain accurate documentation including incident reports, safety inspections, compliance records, and report writing to support regulatory audits and continuous improvement efforts. Investigate incidents, near-misses, and workplace injuries and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with management and employees to foster a safety-first culture through ongoing training & development initiatives and communication campaigns. Monitor occupational health standards related to employee health (regulatory compliance standards), hazardous materials regulations, environmental health practices, and workers' compensation law to ensure comprehensive coverage of all safety aspects. Serve as the primary liaison with external agencies for inspections, compliance updates, and reporting requirements related to environmental health and safety regulations. Requirements 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial safety. Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards , environmental compliance regulations, hazardous materials handling, and occupational health practices. OSHKON certification or comparable safety certification preferred . Certification in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety standards, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of EPA regulations concerning hazardous waste management and environmental health protocols. Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis, report writing, risk assessments, and develop effective corrective action plans. Excellent communication skills for delivering training sessions and engaging with diverse teams at all levels of the organization. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining meticulous documentation.
