Core Job Responsibilities Ensure a safe work environment for all project employees, sub-contractors, and visitors. Provide HSE support and direction to all site personnel. Participate and assist in the investigation of incidents to determine cause. Establish what is required to eliminate any possible reoccurrence of an incident in the future. Ensure safety obligations with clients are carried out per the clients' terms and communicated to Site Supervision. Routinely monitor the workforce for unsafe behaviors and coach employees on the correct behaviors when observed. Ensure that the necessary HSE material is onsite (i.e. HSE Manual, the applicable OH&S legislation and regulations, site safety inspection forms, etc.) Ensure that incident reports are sent to the HSE Supervisor II as soon as possible. Ensure that safety meetings are held on a regular basis. These will be daily or depending on the expectations of the client and the expectations of the Corporate HSE Director. Ensure that audits and inspections are performed per the inspection schedule.
Essential Qualifications The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge concerning excavation safety, including but not limited to acting as the employer's excavation competent person, soil testing, an inspection of proper benching and soring techniques, excavation emergency action planning, etc. Additionally, the minimum requirements include the following: Minimum five (5) years of experience in petrochemical construction safety. At least two (2) years of excavation safety experience. Understand the

541 and Subpart P Have attended an Excavation Competent Person training. Formal training in
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and operation of iPad tablets Ability to be in the field with the workforce 90% of the day or per HSE Supervisor II or clients' requirements.
