Description Job Description The North American Food Safety Audit & Monitoring (A&M) Team ensures Amazon sites meet food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance expectations through independent audit and monitoring activities. The team partners with a broad range of internal stakeholders to identify compliance risks, provide data-driven insights, and deliver recommendations that support continuous improvement across the fulfillment network. The Food Safety A&M Manager is responsible for translating audit and monitoring outputs into clear risk insights and actionable recommendations for partner teams, while maintaining independence in assessment, verification, and enforcement activities. This role collaborates closely with Operations, Food Safety Programs, Risk, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support scalable compliance mechanisms and improve food safety performance across the network. The successful candidate demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, sound operational judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders through data, trend analysis, and risk-based recommendations. They are able to identify systemic risks, communicate findings effectively to leadership, and ensure compliance concerns are appropriately escalated and tracked through resolution by the responsible partner teams.   • Execute independent audit and monitoring activities to assess compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies across the fulfillment network
  • Maintain and analyze compliance metrics, audit outputs, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Assess and escalate significant food safety risks identified through audits, monitoring activities, customer complaints, and trend analysis, ensuring appropriate visibility to partner teams and senior leadership
  • Influence and partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Operations, Food Safety Programs, Risk, and support teams, to communicate findings, provide risk-based recommendations, and drive alignment on remediation expectations
  • Analyze audit findings, customer complaints, escalation data, and root cause trends to identify systemic risks and inform audit strategies, monitoring priorities, and leadership reporting
  • Develop and present business review narratives, audit insights, and leadership updates that clearly communicate compliance risks, operational trends, and recommended actions
  • Apply knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), and FDA guidance, to support audit consistency, monitoring mechanisms, and compliance assessments
  • Review and assess audit observations, and compliance-related data to ensure appropriate documentation, escalation and identification of recurring risk patterns Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
  • 5+ years of program or project Management experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
