Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Site Safety Supervisor to join our team in Virginia. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of occupational safety and health across our projects. The Site Safety Supervisor will work closely with both the Corporate Safety Department and field operations, playing a key role in maintaining a safe work environment and fostering a culture of safety. Responsibilities Conduct regular site walks and field inspections to proactively identify and address safety issues. Collaborate with the Safety Director and client representatives to communicate safety matters and ensure alignment on safety protocols. Ensure compliance with OSHA 1926 and all applicable federal and state safety regulations. Participate in project meetings to address and resolve safety concerns with project staff. Report all incidents promptly and accurately, and assist in incident investigations. Advise on non-compliance issues and provide actionable recommendations for improvement. Lead daily safety meetings and provide ongoing coaching to field staff to reinforce safety expectations. Develop and recommend safety programs, policies, and processes tailored to construction site needs. Orient new hires to the site safety program and ensure completion of all required safety documentation. Prepare site-specific safety plans and manage pre-task planning and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) programs. Conduct safety-related training sessions and classes for employees. Support jobsite compliance with all relevant health and safety standards. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety, with a focus on behavioral-based safety programs and safety leadership. Experience in heavy civil construction projects, including confined space and trenching & excavation safety. Strong knowledge of federal and state occupational safety regulations, as well as ANSI, NFPA, and NEC standards.
