Job Summary About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Kitchen QA Supervisor to oversee Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs within a high-volume Ready-to-Eat food manufacturing operation . This position plays a critical role in ensuring that kitchen production consistently meets GMP, HACCP, allergen control, food safety, product specification, and regulatory requirements . The Kitchen QA Supervisor will work closely with production leadership, QA personnel, sanitation, and corporate quality teams to maintain compliance and ensure products are produced safely and consistently. This is a hands-on QA leadership role for someone who understands food manufacturing, knows how to identify and address quality and food safety risks, and is comfortable working directly with production teams and regulatory requirements. What You'll Do Supervise and maintain Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs throughout kitchen production. Oversee QA activities during processing to ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, Risk-Based Preventive Controls, Allergen Controls, and SSOPs . Ensure kitchen operations meet customer and vendor food safety, hygiene, and product specification requirements . Monitor and verify completion of required QA and food safety documentation . Support and train associates on kitchen policies, departmental procedures, food safety, and quality requirements. Research and maintain current State Food Code regulations and applicable food safety requirements. Maintain and review Public Health Inspection Reports and support regulatory compliance. Conduct internal audits of kitchen operations and maintain third-party audit readiness . Investigate customer and store complaints and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken. Monitor compliance with vendor GMP and food safety requirements . Serve as a primary point of contact during inspections involving FDA, USDA, State, County, and City health authorities , as applicable. Work closely with Kitchen Production Supervisors, QA Technicians, Sanitation leadership, and other quality and production stakeholders. Identify quality or food safety concerns and communicate issues to appropriate leadership. Help maintain a culture of food safety, accountability, cleanliness, and continuous improvement . What We're Looking For 1-3 years of experience in Food QA / Food Safety , preferably within food manufacturing or a similar production environment. HACCP certification required. Experience with GMPs, allergen controls, SSOPs, and preventive controls . Food Defense experience/certification preferred. SQF Practitioner experience preferred. PCQI experience preferred. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality systems. Experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations, or corrective actions. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both production employees and leadership. Comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment . Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential food safety and quality risks.
