Job Description

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for an FSQ Manager at our Winchester, VA pasta production facility, where we produce Ronzoni pasta. The FSQ Manager leads the plants food safety and quality programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, corporate, and GFSI requirements. This role partners with Operations, Engineering, Sanitation, vendors, and cross-functional teams to strengthen quality systems, support audits, resolve quality issues, and promote safe, compliant manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development, training, execution, and verification of plant quality and food safety systemsEnsure compliance with regulatory, customer, corporate, SQF/GFSI, FSMA, and food safety requirementsLead and participate in regulatory, customer, and internal audits, including follow-up and corrective actionsAct as the primary contact for internal and external customers and investigate consumer and customer complaintsDevelop and monitor plant sanitation and product safety programs to ensure a safe and wholesome product supplyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement practical solutions to quality issuesSupport safe work practices and help drive safety, food safety, quality, and environmental expectations across the plant
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a food-related field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or BiochemistryPCQI certification7+ years of quality and/or food safety experience3+ years of project or team leadership experienceExperience with quality and regulatory requirements, including
FDA, SQF, GFSI, and FSMAPreferred Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of GFSI standards and food manufacturing quality systemsDemonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to implement effective solutionsPrevious experience designing and deploying training programsEffective management, supervisory, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational, strategic planning, accuracy, and attention-to-detail skills
Additional Information:
Position requires presence on the manufacturing floor in varying environmental conditions, including dusty, hot, humid, and cold areasMust be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, and work from ladders as neededMust be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation for 6+ hours per shiftMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds, wear a respirator as needed, and visually distinguish objects or equipment
