JOB DESCRIPTION
The Manager, High Reliability at Olympic Medical Center provides operational leadership for patient safety, patient experience, and medical staff services programs, including daily supervision of dedicated program staff. This role is accountable for the performance, reliability, and regulatory readiness of these programs. This individual promotes experiences for patients, workforce members, and visitors that reflect OMC's commitment to safety and compassion. By integrating human-centered advocacy with disciplined safety science, data-driven decision-making, and effective and supportive medical staff governance, this role drives measurable reductions in preventable harm and strengthens high-reliability operations. The position fosters culture of psychological safety, transparency, and human connection that supports operational excellence.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or a related field required. Master's Degree (MHA or MPH) preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration, patient advocacy, patient safety, medical staff services, risk management, or related healthcare operations, required; experience in multiple functional areas preferred. Active participation in relevant professional organizations, preferred.
LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS
Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) required within one year of hire. Certified Professional in Patient Experience (CPXP) required within two years of hire. Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
