Job Description

Safety Success Manager Reports to: Director of Safety Help Drivers Succeed. Identify Risk Early. Prevent the Next Accident. At Xtreme Trucking, we believe safety is more than compliance. It is about helping professional drivers succeed, identifying risk before it becomes an accident, coaching people effectively, and creating a culture where safety and performance go hand in hand. We are looking for a Safety Success Manager to work alongside our Director of Safety and take ownership of the day-to-day safety coaching and driver risk process. This position mirrors our Driver Success Manager philosophy in Operations. Just as our Driver Success Managers help drivers succeed operationally, our Safety Success Manager helps drivers succeed safely. You will review ELD and dash-camera information, identify risk trends, coach drivers, follow up on improvement, recognize positive performance, and help prevent tomorrow's accident before it happens.

What You'll Own The Safety Success Manager owns the daily execution of our driver safety and coaching process.
Key responsibilities include:
Review dash-camera events and identify unsafe or concerning driving behaviors. Monitor ELD and driver-performance data for emerging risk. Identify drivers who may require additional coaching or support. Conduct timely, respectful and effective driver coaching. Follow up after coaching to ensure behaviors are improving. Recognize and reinforce positive driver performance. Maintain accurate coaching and driver-risk documentation. Help develop and maintain individual driver risk profiles. Track repeat behaviors and identify patterns across multiple events. Review speeding, following distance, distracted driving, harsh events and other safety indicators. Assist with Hours-of-Service and ELD compliance. Support accident, incident and near-miss reviews. Help ensure required driver safety training is completed. Assist with DOT and regulatory compliance activities as needed. Participate in weekly Safety and Operations discussions. Prepare driver safety scorecards and performance reporting. Escalate serious or emerging risks to the Director of Safety. Conduct orientation for new hires Driver Success Through Safety This role is not about watching videos and writing drivers up. It is about helping drivers improve. Every coaching conversation should answer three questions: What happened?

Xtreme:
Identify high-risk drivers earlier. Reduce preventable accidents and incidents. Reduce repeat unsafe driving behaviors. Improve driver safety scores. Improve coaching completion and follow-up. Improve Hours-of-Service and ELD compliance. Reduce cargo, liability and physical-damage losses. Increase driver engagement with Safety. Recognize positive driver performance. Build a proactive rather than reactive safety culture. Ultimately, success means identifying and correcting risk before it becomes an accident. Key Performance Expectations We want this position to be measurable and accountable.
Key expectations may include:
100% of actionable safety events reviewed promptly. Driver coaching completed within 24-48 hours when appropriate. Coaching conversations documented and tracked. Repeat behaviors monitored after coaching. High-risk drivers identified and escalated quickly. Required driver training completed on time. Driver risk profiles maintained accurately. Positive safety performance recognized consistently. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Comfortable working directly with professional drivers. A strong communicator and coach. Comfortable having difficult but respectful conversations. Detail-oriented and consistent with follow-up. Able to recognize trends and patterns. Comfortable using technology and data. Curious about why events happen—not just what happened. Able to hold people accountable while maintaining strong relationships. Calm and professional under pressure. Motivated by measurable improvement. Experience in trucking, transportation safety, DOT compliance, dispatch, driver management, insurance, risk management, law enforcement or a similar field is helpful. However, the right attitude, communication skills and ability to coach people are just as important. Technology You'll Work With Our Safety team uses technology to help identify risk and improve driver performance, including: Samsara ELD Netradyne Dash-camera systems Driver safety and performance data Electronic training platforms Transportation and compliance systems Driver scorecards Accident and incident information Risk reporting and analytics You do not need to know every system on day one. You do need to be comfortable learning technology and turning information into action. How This Role Fits Into Xtreme The Safety Success Manager reports directly to the Director of Safety. This position owns much of the daily driver-facing safety work, including monitoring, event review, coaching, follow-up, training and driver risk identification. The Director of Safety remains responsible for leading the overall safety function, including: Safety strategy DOT and regulatory compliance Major accident investigations Claims management Insurance relationships Safety policies Regulatory performance Leadership reporting Overall risk management This structure allows the Safety & Driver Success Manager to stay close to our drivers while allowing the Director of Safety to focus on leading and improving the entire Safety department. Pay:
$50,050.00 - $58,000.00 per year
