This role is critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of personnel on a large-scale chemical manufacturing facility expansion. The Site Safety Technician will conduct day-to-day field safety oversight, enforce site safety programs, and train employees and subcontractors on compliance with regulations. Collaborating closely with the Site Leader and Safety Director, this position will have a direct impact on fostering a culture of safety across all field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily boots-on-the-ground safety supervision and field walk-throughs across active industrial construction areas, ensuring strict compliance with OSHA standards and plant protocols. Review and enforce site safety programs, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and high-risk work permits (Hot Work, Confined Space, Line Breaking) to maintain a proactive safety culture among trades and subcontractors. Perform routine field safety audits, participate in incident/near-miss investigations, identify hazards, and verify immediate corrective actions. Lead daily toolbox talks, safety huddles, and field orientation training for employees and subcontractors in accordance with OSHA regulations and site safety policies. Collaborate with site leadership to report daily field observations and develop practical strategies for continuous safety improvement.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of dedicated field safety technician/coordinator experience in industrial construction, chemical processing facilities, or heavy manufacturing environments. Current OSHA 30 Construction certification required (OSHA 510, CHST, or CSST strongly preferred). Strong operational knowledge of

construction standards, industrial chemical safety protocols, and field permit-to-work systems. Proven experience conducting field safety audits, reviewing JSAs, enforcing Stop Work Authority, and supporting initial incident response. Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for effective field coaching, trade engagement, and reporting.
