In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs that promote a safe workplace and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations. Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments. Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Coordinate and deliver new hire safety orientations and ongoing employee training. Maintain required safety, environmental, and regulatory documentation and records. Monitor and manage required safety programs, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), hazard communication, personal protective equipment (PPE), machine guarding, confined space, fall protection, and emergency response. Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including drills and evacuation planning. Support workers' compensation case management and return-to-work programs. Track and analyze safety performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership. Work closely with managers and supervisors to identify risks and implement corrective actions. Assist with environmental compliance activities, including waste management, spill prevention, and reporting requirements. Promote employee engagement by participating in safety committees and leading safety initiatives. Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices. Required Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Minimum of 2 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, construction, or a related industrial environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Preferred OSHA 30-Hour General Industry or Construction certification. First Aid/CPR certification. Experience with ISO 14001 and/or
ISO 45001
management systems. Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CHMM, or CIH are a plus. Experience conducting safety training and incident investigations. Physical Requirements Ability to walk production, warehouse, or construction areas for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
