•The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator supports the administration and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs within an aerospace forging facility. This entry-level position assists with regulatory compliance, employee training, safety inspections, incident investigations, environmental recordkeeping, and safety communications. The EHS Coordinator works closely with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering personnel to promote a safe workplace and ensure compliance with applicable environmental and occupational safety regulations. This position is designed as a developmental role that provides hands-on experience in manufacturing safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory programs. Successful candidates will have opportunities to advance into EHS Specialist, EHS Engineer, or EHS Manager positions as experience and certifications are obtained. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct routine safety inspections throughout the forge shop, machine shop, die shop, warehouses, and support areas. Assist with identifying workplace hazards and tracking corrective actions. Maintain safety training records and coordinate required employee training sessions. Support new employee safety orientation programs. Assist in maintaining OSHA logs, safety documentation, and regulatory records. Participate in incident, injury, and near-miss investigations. Assist with root cause analysis and follow-up corrective actions. Assist with Workers' Compensation administration, including injury reporting, claim coordination, return-to-work tracking, and communication with employees, supervisors, and insurance or third-party administrators. Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventory records. Support environmental compliance activities related to hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, and wastewater programs. Assist with monthly Safety Committee meetings and facility audits. Prepare routine EHS reports, metrics, and presentations. Support emergency response drills and preparedness activities. Promote employee engagement and participation in safety initiatives. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience Previous internship, co-op, or academic experience in manufacturing, environmental health and safety, engineering, or industrial operations preferred. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations. Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn regulatory requirements and compliance programs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour certification. Internship experience in manufacturing or industrial operations. Physical Requirements Ability to walk throughout the facility and production areas daily. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to heat, noise, and industrial equipment. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
