Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles such as vans, shuttles, or buses with a B license and Passenger Endorsement across designated routes. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and providing special needs support when necessary, ensuring passenger safety at all times. Navigate city streets efficiently using GPS and local knowledge while adhering to traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch using two-way radios for driver communication and relay important information about routes or delays. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition reports. Follow all safety procedures related to driving in adverse weather conditions and maintaining vehicle integrity through routine maintenance checks. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform minor maintenance or report repairs promptly. Knowledge of traffic laws, city street navigation, and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations essential for safe operation. Ability to operate commercial vehicles Excellent customer service skills with a focus on passenger assistance and addressing passenger special needs confidently. Familiarity with vehicle inspections, vehicle safety standards, and transportation safety regulations required for compliance. Effective communication skills to interact clearly with passengers and team members via two-way radios or other communication devices. Ability to drive responsibly under adverse weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety protocols. Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Job description: Qualifications 1. Must have a good driving record. 2. Hold a current commercial class "B" driver's license from the state of California. 3. Physically capable both of performing the required duties and of assisting frail elderly and disabled adults as necessary. 4. Able to speak English. 5. Spanish speaking is a plus and preferred 6. Tagalog speakers are encouraged to apply Duties 1. Responsible for maintaining a schedule of transportation to and from the center, including record keeping of pick-up and drop-off of participants. 2. Assist the participant out of the home and into and out of the vehicle as necessary. 3. Report to Program Director immediately if a participant does not appear for previously scheduled transportation. 4. Maintain a schedule of maintenance of the vehicle, including documented safety checks of the safety device 5. Assist with meal distribution and activities Paid sick time
