Safety Manager or Engineering Manager Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to support our company's safety initiatives, develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and assist in ensuring machinery and equipment are operated safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machine engineering, industrial equipment, and mechanical systems , along with the ability to collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to identify hazards and develop effective safety procedures. Key Responsibilities Assist in writing, reviewing, and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Develop safety procedures for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial machinery. Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to understand machine designs, functions, and potential hazards. Assist with identifying machine-related safety risks and recommending corrective actions. Support machine safety assessments and help ensure proper guarding and safety controls are in place. Review equipment manuals, engineering drawings, and technical documentation. Assist in developing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for machinery and equipment. Help ensure SOPs are clear, accurate, and easy for employees to follow. Conduct safety inspections and assist with identifying workplace hazards. Support employee safety training related to machine operation and safety procedures. Maintain accurate safety documentation and records. Assist with investigating safety incidents and implementing preventive measures.

Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to promote a safe working environment. Qualifications Previous experience in industrial safety, machine safety, manufacturing, engineering support, or a related field. Strong understanding of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and machine operations. Experience writing, reviewing, or updating SOPs and work instructions. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, machine manuals, and technical documents. Knowledge of machine guarding, hazardous energy, and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify potential hazards and recommend practical safety improvements. Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field. OSHA 30-Hour certification or other recognized safety training. Experience with machine risk assessments and safety compliance. Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial automation systems. Experience working with maintenance and engineering teams.

Knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations and machine safety standards.
