The Sanitation associate will assist with the day-to-day operations within the Sanitation Department. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all parts of the facility are cleaned and in sanitary condition for the safety of our team and our customers.

Hour Schedule:
Thursday-Monday 6:30am-3:00pm What you will do: Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, including food safety rules, safe handling of materials, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. Perform sanitation- and hygiene-related duties as assigned by Maintenance Tech using approved cleaning procedures and practices. Monitor chemical dilution of detergents and food contact sanitizers.. Proactively assess and address hazards in the FC such as puddles, unclean food surfaces, and waste build-up. Escalate any sanitation issues to the Maintenance Tech. Prepare and log donations for our donation partners. Assist with logging and appropriately disposing of damaged items. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse environment, including proper storage of products and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor and maintain sanitation inventory levels, partnering with the Maintenance Tech for reorders. May use computers or tablets for record-keeping, communication, and training. Support Operations with different duties as needed.
Who you are:
Authorized to work in the United States Experience in a food distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse environment Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (36 degrees). Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong interpersonal communication
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, bend, squat, climb, reach, and kneel Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds Sedentary work; involves sitting some of the time Standing desks and/or other ergonomic accommodation is available upon request Occasional movement around the office may be necessary Regular work with computers, including keyboards, mouses, and screens Regular use of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets Able to work in cold temperatures in a refrigerated environment
