2997286494-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Join UF Health as an Assoc Safety Screening professional, supporting a safe, patient-centered environment in our academic health center. In this role, you will conduct entry screenings, monitor compliance with safety protocols, assist with incident reporting, and support environmental health initiatives within the Safety department. You will collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to identify risks, educate staff and visitors on safety procedures, and help maintain regulatory standards. Responsibilities Conduct safety and health screenings at facility entry points Verify badges and manage access control for staff, patients, and visitors Monitor compliance with UF Health safety and infection-prevention protocols Assist with incident reporting and documentation for safety events Support environmental health and safety audits and inspections Communicate safety procedures clearly to patients, visitors, and staff Escalate safety concerns to supervisors or Security/Safety officers as needed Maintain accurate logs and records in electronic systems Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical departments on safety initiatives Participate in ongoing safety training and drills Required Skills Safety screening procedures Incident reporting and documentation OSHA and healthcare safety regulations basics Risk identification and assessment Access control and visitor management Use of screening equipment (e.g., metal detectors, thermometers) Emergency response protocols Data entry and electronic record systems Written and verbal communication Customer service in healthcare settings
