$35.00 per hour Position Summary The Service Technician - Fire Sprinkler is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in accordance with applicable NFPA standards, state regulations, and company policies. The technician will ensure fire sprinkler systems are fully operational, code-compliant, and capable of protecting life and property. This position requires strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service repairs on wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pump systems. Diagnose system issues and recommend effective, cost-efficient repair solutions. Identify system deficiencies and provide recommendations for corrective action. Accurately document inspections, service activities, deficiencies, and repairs. Maintain accurate records in accordance with applicable NFPA standards, Florida regulations, and company requirements. Communicate professionally with customers regarding system conditions, deficiencies, repairs, and recommended corrective actions. Respond to scheduled service calls, including after-hours emergency calls when required. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety policies. Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate service schedules and ensure work is completed efficiently. Provide professional, customer-focused service at all times. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection, service, maintenance, or installation. Strong working knowledge ofNFPA 13, NFPA
25, and related fire protection codes and standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work independently while effectively managing time and priorities. Ability to travel to customer locations within the assigned territory. Licenses & Certifications NICET Level II or Florida equivalent in Water-Based Systems is required. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Must hold, or be able to work under, the appropriate Florida Fire Protection Contractor license as required for sprinkler service work. Must meet applicable state requirements and permitting requirements for performing fire sprinkler inspections and service work. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs., with occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching overhead. Ability to work safely at heights, on lifts, and in confined spaces. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and confined areas. Sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to work with tools, small components, and detailed documentation. Ability to properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Work Environment Work is performed primarily at customer locations, including commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. Position requires travel throughout the assigned territory. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Work may include scheduled after-hours or emergency service calls. Compensation $35.00 per hourAbout Montverde, FL:
