SAFETY TECHNICIAN

Reports results of safety inspections and audits to Safety Manager. Monitors work practices and procedures for compliance with health and safety requirements. Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems. Facilitates productive discussions among employees and management relative to safe workplace practices. Serves as a source of information on health and safety rules and regulations. Requests and collects employee feedback and suggestions on safety procedures. Distribute and post health and safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned incidental to health and safety activities. Rotating evening or weekend shift work may be required, based on operational need. Knowledge Required Familiar with safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards . Education & Work Experience High school diploma or equivalent.
