Job Description
Sanitation Pay rate: $17 an hour
Location:
Riviera Beach, FL
Schedule:
1st shift: 06:00 am - until finished (schedule flexibility is a must; we won't consider candidates who have other commitments i.e. 2nd shift) Food Manufacturing Sanitation Worker Ensures cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety standards in production facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of production lines, equipment, and work areas to meet sanitation standards and prevent contamination.
Handle and prepare cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and chemical concentrations safely.
Conduct industrial cleaning tasks including scrubbing, sweeping, mopping, and waste removal.
Maintain cleanliness in food production or warehouse settings by following strict sanitation protocols.
Document completed sanitation tasks and report maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
Assist with heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment to support operational flow.
Participate in food safety and quality committees, including allergen awareness and product recall teams.
Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company allergen policies.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in sanitation, custodial, or janitorial roles, preferably in food manufacturing or processing environments.
Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and food safety regulations.
Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment and use chemicals safely.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and handle high-pressure hoses.
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and work independently or as part of a team.
Working Conditions
Frequent exposure to hot, humid, or noisy environments, moving machinery, and airborne particles.
Hands-on, fast-paced work requiring physical strength and endurance.
Compliance with safety guidelines and proper procedures to prevent contamination or accidents. #WPB
