Description:

The EH&S Specialist I supports safety inspections and training activities while developing foundational EH&S expertise under the guidance of the Sr. EH&S Manager. This entry-to-mid-level role is the starting point for a career in construction safety management. Travel throughout the Southeast is required.
Requirements:
Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive) Assist with job site safety inspections and document observations under senior staff guidance Assist with incident and near-miss investigations and corrective action documentation Deliver basic safety training programs and toolbox talks to field crews as directed Distribute and track PPE and safety supplies across assigned job sites Track open corrective actions and follow up on closure status Assist with development and distribution of safety communications and alerts Participate in GC safety meetings and pre-task planning as directed Learn and develop proficiency in OSHA regulations and company safety standards Support the EH&S Leadership with special safety projects and program activities Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 0-2 years of construction safety or field experience Developing knowledge of
OSHA 29 CFR 1926
construction safety requirements OSHA 30-hour certification required or must obtain within 30 days Strong organizational and documentation skills Effective communication with field crews and management Reliable, safety-first mindset and professional conduct Valid driver's license with clean driving record required Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with arms, and talk or hear.
