The EH&S Specialist III performs advanced safety inspections, leads incident investigations, and supports safety program development with significant autonomy. This experienced safety professional is a trusted field resource and a contributor to continuous improvement of the company's safety culture. This role requires travel throughout the Southeast.
Requirements:
Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive) Conduct comprehensive job site safety inspections and document findings with detailed corrective actions Lead incident and near-miss investigations including root cause analysis and corrective action development Deliver safety training programs and toolbox talks to field crews and supervisors Develop and review project-specific site safety plans and job hazard analyses Ensure OSHA compliance on assigned projects and proactively address hazards before incidents occur Track corrective action closure and report status to the Sr. EH&S Manager weekly Assist with development and revision of company safety policies, procedures, and standards Participate in GC safety meetings and pre-task planning sessions on assigned projects Mentor EH&S Specialists I and II on inspection methodology and safety standards Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Safety certification (STS-C, CHST, CSP, or equivalent nationally recognized credential) plus 3+ years of construction safety supervision experience, or 5+ years in a dedicated, full-time safety role (100% safety responsibilities, no other duties) Strong knowledge of

construction safety requirements Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis skills Effective communication with field crews and management Valid driver's license with clean driving record required Education and Experience OSHA 30-hour certification required. CSP or ASP certification preferred. Physical Requirements Regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with arms, and talk or hear.
