We're all about keeping our team and operations safe while staying compliant with all regulations. As a Safety Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our driver safety program, ensuring that SOPs are followed, compliance records are spot-on, and helping with training efforts. This role is essential in building a culture of safety and excellence on the ramp. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and have a passion for keeping things safe and running smoothly, we'd love you to join our team! Main Accountabilities
  • Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
  • Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
  • Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID's for trucks are current
  • Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
  • Assist the Safety Instructors as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Mus possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
  • 3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups - must be flexible
