Job Description
Construction Safety Field Representative Location:
DeSoto, KS | Full-Time Onsite Local Candidates Only Role Summary As Construction Safety Field Representative, you will provide owner safety oversight during construction, commissioning, qualification, and validation. You will support high-risk work planning, contractor performance, incident investigations, and corrective action closure. What You'll Do- Implement client's safety programs aligned with owner requirements, applicable owner standards, and OSHA/state regulations.
- Coach contractors, safety professionals, and project teams as a visible field safety resource.
- Review JSAs, SPAs, permits, and high-risk work plans for clear hazards and controls.
- Conduct weekly jobsite inspections and verify corrective action closure.
- Lead or support incident investigations, RCA, CAPA development, and closure tracking.
- Monitor KPIs, near misses, leading indicators, and contractor safety performance.
- Support onboarding, orientations, safety reviews, Tier meetings, peer audits, and pre-bid/pre-award discussions.
- Build strong field relationships and support MOC/safety planning during commissioning and qualification. What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of construction safety management experience, including contractor oversight.
OSHA 510
required;OSHA 500
preferred.- Strong knowledge of OSHA and relevant state/local construction safety regulations.
- Experience with incident investigations, RCA, CAPA, and corrective action closure.
- Ability to coach, influence, and communicate with field teams and leadership.
- Microsoft Office proficiency; basic data analysis preferred.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in DeSoto, KS and stop unsafe work when needed. Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in safety, construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Pharmaceutical, GMP, commissioning, qualification, or regulated construction experience.
- Experience with behavior-based safety, near-miss reporting, contractor scorecards, or recognition programs. Work Environment
- Full-time onsite role in an active construction environment.
- Requires regular field presence, including walking jobsites, climbing ladders/stairs, and supporting field operations.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required. Authority and First-Year Success

Stop work for imminent hazards, require corrective actions, and escalate concerns.- First-year success: Build field relationships, support KPI reporting, and drive timely corrective action closure.
