Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist / Human Resources Generalist We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist / Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to champion workplace safety, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and support HR functions across our distribution operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment while also contributing to HR initiatives that promote employee well-being and organizational growth. This role is vital in maintaining our commitment to safety excellence, environmental responsibility, and a positive workplace culture. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental science, or related subject. Minimum of three years working in a distribution or manufacturing site with at least 200 people in an EHS leadership role. Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements. Demonstrated ability to interact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Understanding of worker's compensation and liability insurance claims. Experience conducting safety audits, job safety analysis, accident investigations, analyzing data, and managing

log.Experience with programs including:
hazardous and non-hazardous waste, chemical management, hazard communication, and forklift safety background. Experience developing, organizing, and conducting presentations and training programs. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Human Resources and payroll systems. Strong problem solving, leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily supervision. Responsibilities and Duties Evaluates hazards within the facility for safety, health, and environmental risks and recommend improvements. Evaluates existing health and safety procedures and programs for all departments and develop new procedures and programs where necessary. Leads the facility Safety Team. Leads emergency response initiatives including CPR and first aid training for staff, ensuring readiness for workplace incidents. Leads accident and injury investigations, investigations of environmental incidents, and recommends appropriate action. Administers the Worker's Compensation program. Maintains facility EHS files, environment permits, accidents and training records, and updates regulatory logs. Maintains contingency plans, including fire prevention, and procedures for controlling hazardous spills in accordance with government regulation and insurance company requirements. Trains employees on safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Develops inspection policies and establishes regular inspection schedules. Performs other departmental duties as assigned by supervisor. Assist with HR needs such as payroll, recruitment, benefits, employee engagement as needed. Process weekly and monthly Safety, Operations, and HR metric reports. Ergonomic Focus Walking, standing, and sitting during an 8-hour shift Ability to look up, stoop, and use ladders to reach height.
