We currently have an opportunity for an Occupational Health and Safety Professional at our Manufacturing Facility in Louisville , KY . Responsibilities As an Occupational Health and Safety Professional, you will provide environmental, health, and safety expertise to support safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations. Partners with leaders and employees to implement EHS programs, reduce risk, strengthen compliance, and drive continuous improvement. Maintains required OSHA and EPA written programs and develops and conducts training under the direction of the EHS Manager while supporting a strong foundation of EHS excellence. Environmental, Health & Safety Programs Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and programs that strengthen regulatory compliance and reduce organizational risk. Maintain required environmental and occupational safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and corporate requirements. Coordinate environmental compliance activities and support ongoing regulatory reporting and documentation. Conduct facility inspections, safety audits, and environmental assessments to identify improvement opportunities and ensure corrective actions are completed. Compliance & Risk Management Monitor compliance with environmental and occupational safety regulations and recommend actions that minimize organizational risk. Investigate safety and environmental incidents using structured root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions. Maintain required records, documentation, and performance metrics that support regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Support contractor safety reviews and engineering project evaluations to proactively address environmental and safety risks. Training & Employee Engagement Develop and deliver environmental, health, and safety training that increases employee knowledge, engagement, and compliance. Facilitate safety committees and cross-functional improvement teams that promote employee participation and continuous improvement. Coordinate health and safety programs including industrial hygiene, emergency response training, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and related initiatives. Continuous Improvement Analyze environmental and safety performance data to identify trends and recommend process improvements. Support behavioral safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs that strengthen organizational safety performance. Partner with operations and leadership to integrate environmental, health, and safety objectives into daily business activities. Preferred Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience supporting environmental compliance programs within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of environmental, health, safety regulations and management systems. Ability to assess risk, investigate incidents, and develop effective corrective actions. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Ability to influence cross-functional teams and build collaborative working relationships. Demonstrated problem-solving, continuous improvement, and decision-making capabilities.
