$40 per hour plus heavy OT & Benefits We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager based in our Louisville, KY location on the Place & Finish Team.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Director of Safety, the Safety Specialist will develop and implement health and safety plans in line with legal guidelines and enforce policies that promote a culture of safety. Collaborating with Supervisors and Foremen, they will foster a "Safety First" mindset by encouraging best practices, providing training, leading health and safety meetings, and conducting root cause analyses to address and correct safety issues. Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and company standards. Drive initiatives to build and sustain a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization. Provide training and support to employees and supervisors on principles and best practices. Oversee the program to encourage proactive identification and reporting of potential hazards. Investigate incidents, near misses, and other safety concerns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Maintain records and reports related to workplace injuries, incidents, and safety inspections. Develop and conduct health and safety training programs for all employees, ensuring they understand and comply with safety regulations. Lead regular health and safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety awareness and best practices. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize risks and prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational diseases. Collaborate with operations personnel to implement safety measures and controls to mitigate identified risks. Analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance overall safety performance. Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety

• Preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in health and safety management, required in a construction environment.

Concrete experience is highly Preferred BCSP certifications or similar certifications are strongly preferred.

• Preferred In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards

• Preferred Ability to influence and drive a culture of safety across the organization.
