Position Summary:
Provide hands-on technical support as an individual contributor to strengthen our facility's food safety and quality systems. Specifically, the focus of the position includes the following areas:
- Ensure strict execution and compliance regarding food safety, food security, sanitation, and regulatory standards (HACCP, GMP, EMP, and QC/QA) according to company expectations.
- Serving as an alternate SQF practitioner.
- Assisting in the development, implementation, improvement, and maintenance of our food safety plan and all supporting FSQA strategy initiatives.
- Perform all handS-on activities related to
QC and QA Responsibilities:
- Carry out all activities related to the food safety plan and associated procedures (e.g., ingredient and finished product sampling, CCP monitoring, verification, pre-shipment reviews, and corrective actions).
- Execute the environmental monitoring program, including master site list maintenance, sampling, result trending, investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Assist with sanitation programs and procedures, including routine sanitation, pre-operational inspections, and pathogen response sanitation.
- Provide direct support in all audit functions, recommending corrective and preventive actions to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Serve as a HACCP Team member responsible for food safety.
- Perform root cause analysis for customer complaints and HACCP failures.
- Participate in company cross-functional teams as needed.
- Carry out projects to ensure timely completion.
We are looking to fill 2 openings (6:30am -3:00pm) and (11:00am-7:30pm)
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, biology or microbiology.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of Quality Assurance experience in the food industry.
Skills:
Strong critical thinking, adaptability, effective written and oral communication skills, and high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Ability to engage in continuous walking, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, sitting, and lifting to 25 lbs.
- Comfort working in cold, hot, damp, and noisy environments.
