Job Description
The Sheetz Internz Program is scheduled to take place from May to August 2027.
OVERVIEW
Provide assistance to FSQA Facilities team through development and implementation of key tasks and projects that also serve as experience and developmental opportunities for the field of food safety and quality assurance.RESPONSIBILITIES
(other duties may be assigned) 1. Solve novel and unique problems through evidence/data collection, investigation, root-cause analyses, collaboration, and creative critical thinking solutions. 2. Assist in recommending and establishing food safety and quality procedures via written programs that will be implemented in the Sheetz facilities. 3. Assist in training and implementation of food safety and quality programs for receiving, preparation, storage, and shipping of product. 4. Conduct verification and validation of critical food safety programs (Sheetz FSQA SOPs, Food Safety Plans, HACCP, SQF Systems, GMPs/GDPs, Specification Verification, Chemical Testing, Allergen Control, and Traceability) to comply with company standards and government regulations, conduct appropriate follow-up when standards are not met. 5. Collect microbiological samples for environmental and product analysis. 6. Provide support to the FSQA Department as needed.QUALIFICATIONS
Education- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in food science or related field preferred. Experience
- No experience required.
- Candidates with requirements to fulfill an internship prior to graduation are preferred. Licenses/Certifications
