This position will provide practical EHS guidance to employees, contractors, suppliers, and visitors while partnering with operations, engineering, maintenance, human resources, and leadership teams. The successful candidate will help identify workplace hazards, strengthen safety practices, maintain regulatory compliance, and promote a culture where employee well-being and environmental stewardship are treated as business priorities. Key Responsibilities Interpret and apply applicable OSHA, EPA, state, local, and industry requirements across facility operations. Perform job hazard analyses, process risk assessments, and workplace inspections involving chemicals, compressed gases, high-voltage systems, production equipment, and cleanroom activities. Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events; identify root causes and monitor corrective actions through completion. Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews, document findings, and work with responsible teams to resolve deficiencies. Create, deliver, and track EHS training for employees and contractors, including new-hire orientation, refresher courses, hazardous materials, lockout/tagout, emergency response, and other required topics. Manage environmental compliance activities related to hazardous waste, chemical storage, air emissions, water discharges, permits, and sustainability programs. Maintain and improve emergency preparedness plans covering fire protection, evacuation, spills, first aid, and other potential events; coordinate drills as needed. Maintain accurate EHS records, including incident logs, inspection results, training documentation, regulatory submissions, permits, and corrective-action records. Evaluate workplace hazards and establish appropriate personal protective equipment requirements; support PPE selection, availability, and compliance. Review contractor and supplier safety plans, conduct pre-work discussions, and monitor on-site activities for adherence to EHS requirements. Partner with cross-functional teams to incorporate safety and environmental considerations into projects, equipment changes, and daily operations. Recommend and implement improvements that strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and improve the facility's overall safety performance. What You Bring Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered. At least three years of experience in an EHS, safety, or environmental compliance role. Experience in semiconductor, electronics, laboratory, industrial, or other advanced manufacturing environments is preferred. Working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and accepted safety practices. Demonstrated ability to complete risk assessments, conduct incident investigations, and perform workplace audits. Strong presentation, training, writing, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn EHS databases or management systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow projects through completion. Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels, contractors, and external agencies.
