Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fire Systems Inspector to join our team in Mechanicville, NY . Starting Pay:

Responsibilities include:
Performing inspections and testing of fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA and local code requirements Completing electronic inspection reports accurately and on time Identifying deficiencies and reviewing inspection results with customers Maintaining positive customer relationships through professional communication and service Utilizing company technology to manage schedules, reports, timesheets, and safety documentation Maintaining inspection equipment and company vehicles Working closely with the Inspection Coordinator to ensure customer expectations are met Staying current on NFPA standards, code requirements, and industry developments Participating in company-sponsored and manufacturer training programs as required Supporting additional department needs as assigned We're looking for professionals who: Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and teammates Deliver outstanding customer service Are organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Can work independently with minimal supervision Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Are comfortable using tablets, computers, and mobile technology Maintain a positive attitude and strong safety mindset Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Minimum of 2 years of industry experience (fire/sprinkler/alarm) Experience performing inspections, testing, service, or installation of fire protection systems Strong communication and customer service skills Basic computer proficiency Mechanical aptitude and understanding of fire protection systems Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule Preferred Certifications NICET Certification (or willingness to obtain) OSHA 10 Certification Additional industry certifications related to fire protection systems Physical Requirements Ability to work in commercial, industrial, and residential environments Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Frequent walking, standing, and stair climbing throughout the day Travel between multiple customer locations Occasional overnight travel with advance notice As part of the Davis-Ulmer Family of Companies, we invest in our people, support professional growth, and empower employees to develop as leaders.
