The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist role is based in Rochester, York (onsite role). Where You'll Make a Difference Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site Environmental, Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, state, and local regulations.

Partner with site leadership to foster a strong safety culture aligned with the company's commitment to zero injuries and incidents.

Manage environmental permits, regulatory reporting, inspections, audits, sampling programs, and waste management activities.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis activities, and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence.

Develop, administer, and deliver environmental, health, safety, and operator training programs that support regulatory and company compliance requirements.

Oversee industrial hygiene programs including hearing conservation, hazard communication, respiratory protection, ergonomics, heat stress prevention, and exposure monitoring.

Coordinate occupational health programs including respirator compliance, medical surveillance, and workers' compensation reporting and investigations.

Manage Department of Transportation hazardous materials compliance, including training, packaging, labeling, shipping, and security requirements.

Support Process Safety Management and Process Hazard Management Program requirements, ensuring programs remain effective and compliant. What Makes You the Right Fit Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related discipline.

Two or more years of Environmental Health and Safety experience within a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and industrial safety programs.

Experience conducting incident investigations, implementing corrective actions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Understanding of Process Safety Management, industrial hygiene, occupational health, and emergency preparedness programs.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.

Experience developing and delivering employee training programs related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. How Would You Stand Out? Master's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

Certified Safety Professional certification or other relevant Environmental Health and Safety credentials.
