Job Description
WomenSafe is currently seeking a part-time Resident Care Specialist. Flexible schedule, Saturdays are mandatory.
Resident Care Specialist Duties:
- Assisting survivors and families of domestic violence
- Providing Domestic Violence Prevention Education and Safety Planning
- Training in Trauma-Informed Care and Mental Health
- Crisis Response, Managing Crisis Calls
- Providing education on healthy relationships and boundaries
- Assisting with providing emergency shelter services
- Documentation of services provided
- Provide Transportation for clients with an agency vehicle
- Engage with survivors in the shelter individually and in group settings
- Provide educations, such as developing self-confidence, socialization, safety, and empowerment
Qualifications:
- Ability to interact positively and effectively
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Complete Background Check
- State of Ohio Vehicle Operators License and ability to be covered by the agency's motor vehicle insurance carrier
