Join a team supporting electrical and mechanical construction activities on a large-scale data center project in Johnstown, OH. This role offers the opportunity to provide field safety oversight for mission-critical construction operations involving electrical installations, mechanical systems, equipment setting, material handling, and daily contractor activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional looking to gain experience in the rapidly growing data center construction market while working alongside experienced construction and safety professionals. Required Qualifications OSHA 30 Construction Certification 2+ years of construction safety experience Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification Ability to maintain individual Worker's Compensation coverage Preferred Qualifications Electrical construction experience Mechanical construction experience Data center construction experience Experience conducting field audits, inspections, and safety observations Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and energized work controls What You'll Be Doing Conduct daily safety observations and field audits Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements Support electrical and mechanical construction operations Assist with hazard recognition and risk mitigation efforts Participate in site inspections and safety walks Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation Review work areas for compliance with project safety standards Partner with field supervision and craft personnel to promote safe work practices Maintain safety documentation and field reports Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project Technical Knowledge Candidates should have working knowledge of: OSHA Construction Standards Electrical Construction Safety Mechanical Construction Safety Data Center Construction Activities Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Fall ProtectionElevated Work Activities Material Handling Operations Hazard RecognitionRisk Assessment Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development Incident Investigation Fundamentals Contractor Safety Management Construction Safety Best Practices What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a field-focused safety professional who is highly visible onsite, communicates effectively with craft personnel and supervision, proactively identifies hazards, and helps support the safe execution of electrical and mechanical construction activities while maintaining project productivity.
