A Safety Specialist works with safety specialists to inspect and test workplace environments and equipment and develop workplace safety programs. May specialize in product and equipment safety, and work to identify and correct safety hazards before they affect a customer or end user.
Seeking an on-site presence at large industrial construction project. Large scale ongoing projects that involve HVAC, welding, sheet metal, insulators, concrete work for new construction and ongoing facility upgrades at this location.
Requirements:
4yr degree is preferred but not required, 3-5+ yrs as a safety coordinator/field supervisor within an industrial construction field.
Lead the morning safety meeting each day. Review the Daily-JHA's created by each crew. Walk the job site and assist the contractors with their safety Help process any paperwork - Hot Work Permits, Confined Space, Incidents Reports Document observations throughout the day and include them in the next day's safety meeting.
