Ensure compliance with the elements of Nutrien's Safety and Environmental systems Actively present/participate in safety meetings, inspections, field audits, accident investigations, project reviews, staff meetings, etc Work collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance, Process Engineering, and Project Engineering to mitigate occupational safety risk Anticipate and recognize, through statistical analysis and communicates the areas of concern and develops programs to improve awareness, change behavior, etc Lead safety incident management processes including incident classification, investigations, corrective actions, and sharing lessons learned across the plant Maintain a presence in the field- about 50% of time spent on coaching/mentoring contractors and employees Support regulatory compliance & training such as OSHA, EPA, PSM, RMP and others Model Nutrien's core values of safety and integrity, lead and enable an inclusive culture in which you and your team are actively contributing to a safe work environment by utilizing Nutrien's culture of care Familiarity with high-risk work hazard control programs including Hot Work, Confined Space, Line Break, Energy Isolation, Cranes, Working at
Height, and Excavation What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in field of Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Science or 6+ years of experience working in a related field Working knowledge of OSHA and Environmental Standards/practices Knowledge of incident investigation techniques Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other database programs preferred Ability to work various hours as needed for plant operations/shutdownsWhat You'll Get:
