Safety & Emergency Management Coordinator Bethany Children's Health Center - 4.4 Bethany, OK Job Details Full-time 11 hours ago Benefits Tuition reimbursement Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Job Purpose The Safety and Emergency Management Coordinator will work to establish and maintain a culture of safety excellence and safeguard compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This role will implement and maintain effective life safety programs and protocols and ensure the availability and usability of safety equipment. The Safety and Emergency Management Coordinator will promptly respond to employee safety concerns, provide guidance and support in resolving issues and improve overall safety performance. This role will coordinate and implement emergency preparedness standards to facilitate a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Also coordinate the education and exercises within the organization to ensure an organized response during a disaster. This role serves as the Safety Officer for the Incident Management Team.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene Emergency Management, public safety, or a related field required.
Experience:
5-7 years of experience in a Safety or Emergency Management -related role.
License/Certification/Credential:
Emergency Management and/or Safety Certifications are preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duty Percent of Time Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with local laws and regulations. Ensure the highest safety compliance standards and a healthy work setting for staff, visitors and vendors. Monitor and stay updated on safety regulations, codes and standards applicable to the industry. Investigate accidents, incidents and near-miss events to determine root causes and implement corrective measures to prevent a recurrence. 35% Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safety initiatives and ensure the integration of safety practices into daily operations. 15% Establish and maintain effective communication channels with external organizations, such as government bodies, safety organizations and insurance companies. 10% Ensure completion of Safety related reports. Conduct Safety related training for staff. 20% Manage and oversee emergency preparedness and response efforts, including developing and implementing evacuation plans and procedures. Lead the execution of the Emergency Management program. Conduct the annual Hazard Vulnerability Assessment (HVA) and risk analysis to identify facility risks from natural, technological, and human-caused disasters.
