A little about the position:
Job Summary As an EHS Specialist you will be responsible for the implementation of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program at the facility level. This position serves as a member of the site leadership team and requires a strong cross-functional partnership with operations and human resources. This position requires knowledge of all applicable EHS regulations, safe work practices, and environmental recordkeeping. The incumbent must have good communication, training, and leadership skills with the ability to interact successfully with all levels of the organization.
Some of What You Will Do:
Coordinate with site team to implement the EHS Program and respective policies. Audit effectiveness of the site EHS program through audit program including annual corporate audit. Provide EHS training to all site personnel. Maintain all pertinent safety and environmental records. Maintain workers compensation files and investigate incidents. Generates internal and external reports as required. Execute site inspection program with respect to safety and environmental regulations. Accompany state, federal, and local inspectors from various agencies. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees and regulatory agencies. Act as local expert on EHS requirements, providing guidance and working closely with site leadership team. Perform other duties as assigned. May be required to support multiple facilities as well as corporate / nationwide EHS projects. Perform other duties as assigned. What You Bring to the
Table:
(Qualifications) BS in Safety/Environmental Science or related field and 2 years manufacturing experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience to include:
Compliance management in a manufacturing facility that operates under a Title V Air Permit. Managing a full Respiratory Protection Program and Hearing Conservation Program. Familiarity with Powered Industrial Truck safety and Electrical Safety
NFPA 70E.
Capacity to multi-task, prioritize workload and set and reach goals. Ability to effectively present information in both oral and written form; ability to present and train in front of an audience. $70,000-$80,000 Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
