Join a General Contractor supporting the final phases of construction on a six-story apartment building addition connected to a senior care facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Site Safety Representative will provide daily field safety oversight for roofing and exterior construction activities while working directly with project leadership, subcontractors, and craft personnel to identify hazards, maintain compliance, and support the safe completion of critical project milestones. Required Qualifications OSHA 30 Certification Minimum 1-2 years of construction safety experience Experience supporting roofing, exterior, or elevated work activities Knowledge of fall protection requirements and safe work practices Experience conducting field inspections and hazard assessments Ability to maintain a visible and proactive field presence Preferred Qualifications Roofing Construction Experience Exterior Building Envelope Experience Multi-Story Construction Experience Fall Protection Competent Person Training Commercial Construction Safety Experience CHST, ASP, CSP, STS-C, or other BCSP credential What You'll Be Doing Provide daily field safety oversight for roofing and exterior construction activities Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments Monitor fall protection systems and elevated work activities Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel Coordinate safety activities with project management and subcontractors Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation Maintain required safety documentation and compliance records Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project Technical Knowledge Candidates should have working knowledge of: OSHA Construction Standards Fall Protection Systems Roofing Safety Elevated Work Activities Ladder Safety Scaffold Safety Awareness Material Handling Operations Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Hazard RecognitionRisk Mitigation Incident InvestigationCorrective Actions Contractor Safety Management Construction Risk AssessmentMitigation What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a hands-on, field-focused safety professional with experience supporting roofing, exterior construction, and fall protection programs.
