You will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national Overview East Penn Manufacturing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Intern to support the Occupational Health and Medical Services team. This internship provides hands-on exposure to occupational health practices, employee medical screenings, record management, and clinical support within a manufacturing environment. The Medical Intern will work closely with Medical Assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals while gaining valuable experience in employee health services, workplace safety, and medical administration. Responsibilities Assist with scheduling physician appointments and maintaining appointment calendars. Support the administration of the occupational health management (OHM) encounter log and assist with initiating the pre-employment screening process. Assist Medical Assistants with a variety of occupational health procedures, including: Spirometry testing Hearing assessments Blood pressure and pulse measurements Neurometry testing Urine drug screening Phlebotomy Breath alcohol testing Height and weight measurements Uniform measurements Basic vision screenings Assist with molding custom earplugs for employees upon request. Maintain medical records and establish files for new hires while ensuring confidentiality of employee information. Greet employees and visitors, determine their needs, and assist Medical staff with triage and communication. Sterilize and maintain medical equipment in accordance with established procedures. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain stock rooms using Somax. Provide administrative support to the Medical Department as needed. Support employee wellness initiatives and occupational health programs. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Full-time student pursuing a degree in: Medical Assisting Nursing Healthcare Administration Public Health Biology Exercise Science Allied Health Program Related healthcare field Sophomore standing or higher preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
