Job Description
We have an immediate opportunity for an EHS Coordinator. This is a temp position expected to last 2-4 months or so. Duties Develop, implement, and maintain environmental health and safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards. Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and root cause analyses to identify risks and implement corrective actions. Lead safety training sessions on topics such as hazard communication, hazardous materials regulations, first aid, CPR, and OSHA compliance to enhance employee awareness and preparedness. Manage workplace safety programs including incident investigations, report writing, and documentation of safety performance metrics. Ensure compliance with environmental management systems (EMS), hazardous materials regulations, and environmental regulatory requirements. Oversee workers' compensation processes by managing claims procedures in accordance with workers' compensation law and legal standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement in occupational health and environmental management practices. Requirements Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of workplace safety regulations such as OSHA standards. Knowledge of environmental compliance requirements including EPA regulations and hazardous materials handling. Certifications in first aid, CPR, OSHA training (such as OSHA 30-hour or 500-hour courses), and environmental management systems are highly preferred. 0-4 years of experience bachelor's degree a plus
