This is more than a compliance role—we are looking for someone who is passionate about protecting people, building relationships with crews, and helping shape the future of safety within our organization. As a Safety Specialist, you will work directly with field personnel, supervisors, and leadership to promote a culture where every employee goes home safely each day. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow into a future Safety Manager role as our company continues to expand throughout the utility construction industry. What You'll Do Conduct field safety observations and jobsite audits on overhead distribution projects. Support crews, supervisors, and management in identifying and mitigating workplace hazards. Promote compliance with OSHA regulations, utility standards, and company safety policies. Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training sessions. Participate in incident investigations and help implement corrective actions. Assist in developing safety programs, procedures, and best practices. Monitor PPE compliance, vehicle safety, and work zone protection. Support storm restoration operations and emergency response activities when required. Track and report safety metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities. Serve as a visible safety leader and trusted resource for employees in the field. What We're Looking For Minimum of 3 years of safety experience in utility construction, electric distribution, transmission, telecommunications, or a related field. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and utility industry safety standards. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to build credibility and trust with field personnel. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned service areas. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification CPR/First Aid Certification CHST, ASP, CSP, or willingness to pursue professional certification Experience supporting overhead electric utility operations Why Join Elite Overhead Services?
