EHS Compliance Technician — Nashville, TN A day in this role Your morning might begin with a floor walkthrough, scanning for hazards and verifying that machine guards, signage, and housekeeping meet standards. Mid-day, you could be coaching teams on emergency response procedures and facilitating a quick toolbox talk. In the afternoon, you may analyze an incident report, document root causes, and outline corrective actions. You'll wrap up by updating safety records, preparing an audit summary, and partnering with managers to advance continuous improvement across the facility. Core responsibilities Perform recurring safety inspections and audits to surface and mitigate risks. Create, refine, and roll out safety policies and procedures that align with regulatory expectations. Deliver training and guidance on safe work practices and site-wide emergency protocols. Lead incident/accident investigations; capture findings and recommend corrective measures. Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports of all safety activities and outcomes. Collaborate with leadership and teams to reinforce a proactive, improvement-focused safety mindset. Track industry developments to integrate evolving best practices into daily operations. Qualifications Associate's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; Bachelor's preferred. 2+ years in a safety function, ideally within industrial or manufacturing environments. Solid command of OSHA standards and applicable safety regulations. Clear, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams. Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management software. Certifications such as CSP or OHST are beneficial.
