This EHS Technician will play a leading role in implementing applicable EHS Programs, conducting risk assessments, performing inspections, investigating incidents, reporting event learnings, providing training, and facilitating risk reduction projects. The EHS Technician will perform work individually and in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement for the Battery Cell Manufacturing program in Austin, TX. The EHS Technician will be responsible for complex technical work across a broad range of EHS disciplines with an emphasis on reducing risk, empowering stakeholders, and doing the basics right. They will also ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, and conformance to internal, industry and consensus standards, as appropriate. What You'll Do Perform regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and unsafe work conditions, document findings, and recommend corrective actions Participate in reviews for high hazard work prior to execution to include critical lifts, confined space entries, high voltage work, pressure testing, fall protection plans, etc. Review Pre-Task Plans to ensure tasks, hazards and mitigations are aligned with the work being performed in the field Partner with other EHS functions (Industrial Hygiene, Construction Safety, Environmental, Ergonomics, Electrical Safety, Equipment Safety, Process Safety etc.) to treat the unique risks of their assigned areas and to ensure appropriate safeguards are recommended, implement, verified Assist in the event learning process by determining primary root causes and recommending corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future incidents Help managing, tracking, analyzing, and reporting of EHS metrics and assessing performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive strategic and operational planning Ensure the EHS Management System elements are applied effectively throughout operations.
