Health Occupations Office Assistant Responsibilities:
This position will perform clerical duties for the Dean of Health Occupations; assist community, students, and faculty with routine inquiries in department; maintain smooth operations of the Health Occupations Office.Qualifications:
Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred. One - two years of experience in responsible employment in clerical/secretarial area or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Notary public preferred. Working knowledge of business communications, spelling, punctuation, and mathematical; thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Proven qualifications of leadership, accuracy, initiative, and organization. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, students, and community members; and to deal effectively with potential public relations problems courteously and tactfully. Demonstrated computer skills. Word processing experience. Data entry experience.Salary:
The annual salary range for this position is $32,760 - $39,936, and the actual starting salary will be dependent upon education and experience of the chosen candidate.Fringe Benefits :
This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages includes dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas or Optional Retirement Program, accrued sick leave, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program. Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.Application Procedures :
