Job Description Position Title:
Safety Technician Wage:
$27.00- 32.00 per hour QPS Employment Group has a great Safety Technician position available at a company in Spring, TX. Safety Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and procedures aligned with
OSHA, ISO
45001, and other relevant regulations.- Conduct regular safety inspections of work areas and equipment to identify and address potential hazards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees on various safety topics, including emergency preparedness, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date on current safety regulations and best practices.
- Liaise with external safety vendors and regulatory agencies as needed.
Safety Technician Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a safety coordination role.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM) designation a plus.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and detail-oriented with a commitment to safety.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand or walk, and frequently required to lift or move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
