JOB SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day tasks related to Food Safety risk management. They are the main executors of the environmental monitoring program, glass, and brittle plastic management, and knife management. This role also assists with verification of sanitation activities as needed.
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS
Participate in periodic verification checks as defined in the SQF program. Participate in environmental monitoring activities. Monitor and maintain potential process contamination points. Keep inventory of glass, brittle plastics, and other tools that present potential hazards. Inspect and maintain high risk tools and materials as assigned. Other duties and functions may be assigned.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred. Bachelor's degree in biology is preffered.
WORK EXPERIENCE
1-3 years of experience in FDA regulated industry preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position frequently works in a production environment and has frequent exposure to the manfucturing floor. Frequent exposure to noise and fumes, dust, or other airborne particles. Often works near moving mechanical parts or powered industrial trucks. Needs to operator a scissor lift and be safety minded.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position frequently requires use of hands, hearing/listening, talking, standing, walking, and bending/stooping, climbing stairs/ladders, kneeling/squatting, reaching overhead, pulling/pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
